Better Late Than Never
I'm writing this post a day late. Work commitments were pressing and life got busy. However, better late than never, right?
Actually, this highlights an issue I personally struggle with. All or nothing thinking. Either everything goes according to the plan I've made or it all gets chucked out the window. Diets, workout routines, new habits.
In reality, growth is never a straight line. It twists and turns, goes up and down, tmakes wo steps forward and one step back.
The important thing is the mindset. Are you committed to making progress on your goal, no matter how small? Are you willing to pick yourself up when you fail, no matter what?
As long as we are breathing, we have the opportunity to make strides towards our goal. Mine is weight loss, but I see weight loss as a metaphor. I'm learning how to grow my soul. How to grow resilience and learn how to do tough things.
So, while my week didn't totally go according to plan, I still learned something in the process. Keep pressing on, no matter how small. I would count that as a win.
